ANTONY DRAPER ADVISORYTry the receptionist

For plumbing & heating firms · Cheltenham & Gloucester

You’re finishing this job.
The next one could be calling.

Keep working while callers explain what they need. Call back knowing who they are, where the job is and what they want done.

An AI receptionist asks the questions a voicemail cannot: what needs doing, where and how urgent it is. Our managed pilot is built around collecting those details for your team to follow up.

For calls you cannot answer. Set up with you, around the way you work.

When picking up is not practical

Hands full. Phone busy.
Another enquiry to return.

You’re under a sink. Finishing an installation. Or you’ve finally stopped for the evening. Answering every call yourself is not always practical.

A voicemail leaves the caller to decide what to tell you. A receptionist asks for the details you need, so you can pick up the conversation with some context.

You decide which jobs to take, what to quote and when someone can attend.

The details that make a callback useful

  • The caller’s name and callback number.
  • The postcode and service they are asking about.
  • How urgent the request is.
  • A clear summary for the person returning the call.

Your pilot includes agreeing the questions, callback process and how enquiry summaries reach your team.

Hear a conversation

Try it before we talk.

Be the customer for a moment. Ask about a boiler service, push for a price or ask to speak to someone. Hear how it responds before you decide whether to talk to me.

Northgate Home Services is a fictional demonstration business covering Leeds. Please use invented details when you try it.

This lets you try the conversation. Your phone routing, message delivery and fallback arrangements are checked separately during setup.

A managed service, with a person behind it

You run the jobs. I help set up the call handling.

01

Find the gap

For owners who are on the tools and answering enquiries themselves, start with unanswered or busy calls. Already have office support? We can assess a separate overflow setup.

02

Set up and test

One business, one agreed call-handling route and one destination for enquiry summaries. We agree the questions, service area and callback rules, then test routing, delivery and fallback.

03

Review after 30 days

Your pilot runs for 30 days from tested activation. We review captured enquiries, callbacks and jobs you confirm were won. You decide whether to continue; continuation requires a separate agreement.

A person behind the service

I’m Antony. I handle the setup with you.

I’m based in Cheltenham and work with owners on the sales and operations behind their businesses. With this service, my role is to help make the call handling useful in your working day.

We agree what the receptionist should ask, what it can say and who follows up. I coordinate the setup and testing, then review the pilot with you.

You get a named person to speak to about the setup and the calls, rather than being left to work out the configuration yourself.

Before you enquire

A few straight answers.

Can I keep my number?

We check whether your current phone service can forward unanswered or busy calls. If it can, we agree and test that setup before starting.

What is included in the pilot?

One business, one agreed call-handling route, approved business information, name/number/postcode/job/urgency capture, one enquiry-summary destination and a review after 30 live days. Transfers, booking and bespoke integrations are separately scoped.

Will it quote prices or book jobs?

Your team keeps control of prices, bookings and which jobs to accept. The initial pilot collects enquiries for a callback.

Will callers know it is AI?

Yes. It identifies itself as an automated assistant. Unknown questions, emergencies and requests for a person have agreed handling rules.

What does it cost?

You receive a written quote before deciding: setup, the 30-day service, included usage and any extra charges. There is no checkout on this page and no automatic continuation after the pilot.

What happens after I enquire?

Your enquiry is saved for Antony to review. We confirm fit, scope, cost, phone compatibility and data handling before agreeing a start. No service is activated by submitting this form.

A small, defined first step

One business. One call-handling route. Thirty live days.

Best fit

You run a plumbing or heating business around Cheltenham or Gloucester, work on jobs yourself and cannot always answer new enquiries. You have someone who can return captured calls.

Already have office support? Ask about overflow handling. We will check the gap before proposing a pilot.

What you are considering

Setup around your services and callback rules, testing, enquiry capture and a review after 30 days of live operation. We agree the usage allowance and all charges in writing before you decide.

The pilot starts after successful phone-routing, message-delivery and fallback tests. Live customer data handling must also be agreed. Booking, CRM integrations and live transfers are separate scope. No automatic continuation.
